What data we collect and why

Contact and inquiry forms: When you submit a contact or inquiry form on this site, we collect your name, email address, phone number, wedding date, and ceremony type. This information is used to respond to your inquiry and to assess availability. It is stored in Google Sheets for booking management purposes.

Lead magnets (PDF guide and quiz): If you download the Wisconsin Marriage Guide or complete the ceremony quiz, we collect your email address and any answers you provide. This enrolls you in an email sequence (up to 5 emails) with helpful ceremony planning information. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.

Analytics: This site uses Google Analytics (ID: G-B0XW603WEJ) to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics collects anonymized data including pages visited, time on site, and general location. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.

How we use your data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Payment information

Acting Officiant uses Square for invoicing and payment processing. We never see, handle, or store your payment card information. All payment data is processed entirely by Square and subject to their privacy policy.

Email communications

If you submit an inquiry or opt in to a lead magnet, you may receive email from [email protected]. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. To stop receiving emails at any time, click unsubscribe or reply with "unsubscribe" and we will remove you promptly.

Data retention

Booking information is retained as long as necessary for business records. If you would like your data removed, email [email protected] and we will delete it within 5 business days.
