How I Write Your Ceremony

Every word is yours. Nothing is cookie-cutter.

1

Questionnaires About Your Relationship

Each partner fills out guided questions separately. How you met, what you love about each other, what makes your relationship different. By the time you're done, you'll have a clear picture of what your ceremony should feel like. Most couples say this part is meaningful all on its own.

2

Ceremony Written From Scratch

Schwa takes your answers and writes a complete ceremony that tells your story. The emotional arc, the humor, the inside jokes, the things that make your relationship yours. With 30+ years of professional theater, Schwa knows how to hold a room and hit the highs and lows.

3

Review & Revise (Unlimited)

You get a draft about 4-6 weeks before the wedding. Read it together, laugh, cry, then let Schwa know what to adjust. Edits are unlimited. It's done when it's perfect.

4

Wedding Day Performance

Schwa arrives early, checks in with you and the coordinator, and delivers a ceremony that has your guests laughing, crying, and telling you it was the best wedding they've ever been to. Legal paperwork filed within 3 days.

How Can You Customize Your Ceremony?

Every element is customizable. Here's what couples choose from.

Religious, Spiritual, or Nonreligious

Your ceremony reflects your beliefs, not anyone else's. Want prayers? Great. Want zero religious references? Also great. It's your day.

Handfasting is a Celtic tradition where your hands are tied together with a cord you keep as memorabilia. But if none of these resonate, create something new.

Blending two (or more) traditions into one ceremony that honors everything you both bring to the table. Schwa will work with you to get every detail right.
